I finally tried changing the DNS settings for Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) as Preferred 8.8.8.8 and Alternate DNS server as 8.8.4.4 but it too didn't make a difference. Then I tried again but it still keeps asking for the password. I verified that Outlook had the latest update, which is already did. I then re-enabled each add-on one at a time by closing and re-opening Outlook each time but the issue never resolved itself. I unchecked all of them, then closed Outlook and restarted it. I then went into Add-ons in Outlook to see if there were any active add-ons. I started Outlook 2013 in safe mode and tried updating the secure mail key and tried to create a new profile but nothing changed. She also noted that since Outlook is a third-party app, there is nothing else that they can do to help at this point. Yeah, now that's something new you don't hear every day from AT&T. I explained what had happened and low and behold I was told that there was NEVER a problem with AT&T and that I was misinformed. I then called AT&T Digital Assistance Center again. On the 5th business day, I tried using a new secure mail key but still no change. However, my first call I was told that there was an issue on their end and to wait 5 business days for it to be resolved before trying to use the secure mail key again. Called AT&T Digital Assistance Center to take a look at his account and everything checked out fine. Uninstalled/Reinstalled Office 2013, updated the secure mail key in his Outlook profile but still no change. Ran a repair on Office 2013 and then tried using the secure mail key again in Outlook but still no change. I also tried creating a new secure mail key as well but it didn't make a difference. Tried to use the secure mail key again but it won't work. It found a couple of problems but then fixed it. Deleted his Outlook Profile, created a new profile along with a new secure mail key but it still keeps asking for the password. Deleted the current secure mail key and created a new one, then updated Outlook but it wouldn't work. Regards, Joelīelow is what I've done to try and fix this problem.

Does anyone else have any other ideas on how to fix this? It's totally ridiculous that Outlook 2013 worked fine with it and now it won't. I have tried several other things to get this resolved but it just won't work. I've even checked the boxes beside "Save Password" too. I created a new secure email key and tried it but the dreaded pop-up window appears asking for the password over and over again. However, over the past month, he is no longer able to send and receive email because it keeps asking for a password over and over again. I then entered it as his password into Outlook 2013 and it worked without any problems. When AT&T implemented the OAuth (Secure Mail Key) for third-party apps, I was able to create one by logging into his account via att.com and then going to his profile to create the secure mail key. I do not see this in the prompt captures.I have a friend, who is using Outlook 2013 as his mail client. Wireshark info box says "Server Hello, Certificate, Server Hello Done". I have a package capture of both scenarios, in the successful reconnection I see several TLSv1 handshake successes with all of the Exchange URLs (Autodiscover, ) etc.

If I re-dock immediately after Exchange shows it's disconnected I am not prompted. I'm able to reproduce this on my laptop by undocking (wireless disabled), sitting for at least 2 minutes disconnected, then docking again and reconnecting. I don't manage Exchange, but instead manage our fleet of client machines and since the pop-up is on the client I've been tasked with determining why.

When a user running running Outlook 2013 disconnects (to go to a meeting for example) and then reconnects they are prompted for their Windows credentials for both Lync 2013 and Outlook 2013. A bit of background, we run Exchange 2007 and are in the process of upgrading to Office 2013. I'm hoping to get some help regarding a email issue that we've been experiencing for quite some time.
